Quote from Marc Sayer on August 24, 2020, 3:25 PMUgh, reading the official statements of that governor, I just wanted to take him out back of the woodshed and have a little talk. How irresponsible, and dangerous. He's either a chickenshit, or completely corrupt, or both.
Not passing any judgement for or against on that cop. But you know he thought about the ramifications, in this day and age, of what he did, and did it anyway. That tells me there probably was some reason he felt that was the best action to take, some risk, some behavior, some history we are unaware of. Cause it had to dawn on him that shooting that guy in that circumstance was going to ruin his life forever. And yet he did it anyway. Absent other data, I'd have to assume he felt that was worth it to protect the public. Or maybe he just panicked. Thing is a real investigation will tell us. And that's why we conduct them, and why we keep our mouths shut pending the investigation. But no reason to think that had anything to do with race.
