America needs us--NOW.
Events over the last 24-48 hours or so have clarified something to me, and I want to pass it along. The basic message is this;
Portland is coming to every city in America...and sooner than we expected.
We've seen it in Denver and Kenosha right this minute. We've been seeing it in Seattle, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and of course Portland. But it's Denver and Kenosha that I believe will be tipping points.
I'm going to quickly address Kenosha because I honestly get the feeling that's going to spill over so much that George Floyd will be an afterthought. I've seen the video; while I'd like to think there were alternatives that could have been employed (and there probably were), I'm not about to crucify a cop whose life has now been put in danger by the subject he's trying to deal with. The actor did not obey instructions. He did exactly the wrong thing if you don't want to get shot. And in the video you can even see the cop trying to pull him out of the car by the shirt before the situation escalates into the kind of mistake that gets someone shot or killed. Sadly, the cop was unsuccessful in preventing the man from doing exactly that, and the man paid the price.
This was sad, unnecessary (on the part of the suspect), but justified.
And it won't make one lick of difference--this is the perfect setup for reigniting the tensions and flaring the 'protests' into more cities. The people behind all of this would have preferred that it come much closer to the election or shortly thereafter, but this is the mood and mindset they've put into play, and it's now a beast with a mind of it's own. This is going to explode and they don't have control over it anymore.
That means we have to accelerate an already-ridiculous schedule. I'm not the type to half-ass, which explains why we're so far "behind" as it is; I want to get this right, I want us to do this right. But we have to start doing it NOW whether or not it's as right as I'd like it to be.
If you've been thinking of forming a unit, now is the time. In the "Forming a CDF Unit" section there are already enough steps online to get the process underway. At least two more will be added before the end of the day today, and the first module will be complete by tomorrow. The second module deals with your first wide-scale meeting, which isn't likely to occur for most of you for a week or two; in the time between now and then I'll have that module complete.
Once you've got your core group assembled and ready, we're going to start training. I haven't figured out all of the logistics yet--literally, how to get trainers into the locations they're needed--but we will. This is going to ignite in cities all across America, but it's coming to your neighborhood shortly thereafter and I refuse to let our communities get behind the eight ball before the real "war" even starts.
We have work to do--all of us. Let's get to it.
People who are online on other forums, comment-enabled news sites, and social media platforms should start getting the word out about CDF. It is very important that you direct the traffic properly. ALL REFERENCES TO THE CIVILIAN DEFENSE FORCE need to be filtered through the main "gateway" site; do not link THIS (headquarters) site. Use only this link:
Nobody should be on the HQ site who hasn't first passed through the main site. It does happen, but we don't want it to. The sites act in concert with one another to narrow the people who visit down to the ones we want to recruit, start the vetting process, and get newcomers moving in the right direction from the start. This is the way we need for it to work.
Other than that, stay with promoting the organization's mission and "branding"--please do not refer to the CDF as a "militia" or any similar phrase; we are a civic organization dedicated to defending and protecting our communities, and trained accordingly. We are not a bunch of Gomer Pyles running around in the woods with guns.
If you're still waiting for a unit to be formed in your area, and you're looking for some way to help the cause while that's happening, this is one way to do it. We aren't ready for a large influx of people--but we're out of time. Get the word out, let people find us, and we'll push harder than we have been (even though we've been pushing pretty hard already). That's what America needs, and our neighborhoods need. I'm on it. I hope you are, too.

There are many people in despair on these comment enabled websites looking for answers. Propose CDF as a solution. That CDF is part of prudent preparation. If we can get a bunch of us all getting out the word on comment-enabled websites and social media, then we can go viral much quicker than we think.

"Solution", and especially "prudent preparation", are EXCELLENT words for use in describing what we're about.
Some others are "dignified response" (as in "local communities preparing a dignified response to potential crisis"); "civic duty" (as in "the civic duty of all American Patriots"); and "doing some good" (as in "if you feel helpless watching what's going on in our country, the Civilian Defense Force might be the way to ease your mind and let you do some good").

Another way is be where ppl are coming now. If there is not a mymilitia area code in your area create one (see 920 militia as example) then funnel them into your group. Many p were very excited to find our about CDF and they came to mymilitia ready (to do something) so you have motivated folks from the get go. We are now picking up ppl just by word of mouth.
Just talked to my neighbor yesterday about helping me start a unit. He was skeptical at first but the more I explained the concept the more interested he became. I think a big thing about selling this concept to potential recruits is explaining that it is not a ‘militia’ but more like a “neighborhood watch on steroids” and he seemed to be very receptive to that.
Another thing I think people we want to join up (and who are sympathetic to the cause) are worried about is (whether they realize it or not) that CDF is some type of “hangout” operation by the government to identify “people like us” for some nefarious purposes. Obviously this is not the case, but we need to have some type of answer for that as well...

Good point. Though some people are concerned about being a part of something that might be seen as 'illegal' at a later date by a different kind of government.
I would hope that our people be brave enough to face that potentiality.
I just got here and the unit modules aren't available to me yet (I think?). How much information is CFD looking for?
