Actually, what I was thinking of doing is creating a specific "Diversity" group, much like our Brain Trust group, that is specifically tasked with talking amongst ourselves so that we're already prepared somewhat to deal with the spectrums of thought and attitude that we're all likely to encounter as we reach deeper into the general populace. I hate using the term "Diversity", since it's been so badly bastardized by well-meaning but ill-considered HR and government departments nationwide, but that's the proper term for it.

My thinking is that Nick and I (for instance) can fight over Bernie, push and shove each other to the point of (internet) blows landing, and in the process we all learn what makes the "other side" tick and what methods calm the tensions. Because we're all on the same team, I expect we can accomplish this much better than two average opposite-spectrum Joes encountering one another on the sidewalk in Portland.

I'm not a fool, and I realize the same as you guys that the vast majority of the people we attract are going to be right-leaning. For starters, that's the realistic makeup of the American populace, but also today's antics by Democrat "leadership" and their molotov-cocktail tossing brownshirt army would drive Joseph Stalin to the right, and our message is much more likely to appeal to long-standing right-wingers in the first place. That said, those nouveau centrists who used to be on the Left (but are now on the right since ANTIFA and AOC have moved that line) are coming, and we need to be prepared to interact with them in non-confrontational ways. Perhaps this idea is one way to learn how to do that?

If we are going to use the tainted term 'diversity', then at least call it intellectual diversity to remove the leftist stench from it. There used to be a concept in America called loyal opposition where policies were disagreed on, argued even, but in the end everyone was loyal to the American republic. The current crop of marxists/leftists are CDF's mortal enemies. I mean that literally, not as an analogy. An intellectual diversity group does have the danger of causing division and taking focus away from civiliandefenseforce mission to defend our communities from the Marxist onslaught. I would prefer to see that explored after winning the country back to not cause rancor in the ranks.

For example, if I told people on an intellectual diversity forum that I studied the John Birch society bluebook long ago and that their precise predictions have come to pass in 2020; that would likely lead to an a fruitless argument with someone who leans slightly left..maybe even with some centrists on CDF. That is division we can't afford at this time. Let's all stay focused on the mission of standing up against evil and focusing on saving American for us , our children, our grandchildren and even our great grandchildren.
