It truly disturbs me how likely it is that this weenie is going to be the next Speaker of the House. Don’t get me wrong–he’s a monumental improvement over the creature we have in there now, but this guy is simply not what the country needs right now. Or ever.
I need a moment to sigh…
…and then we’ll get into the latest round of Kevin McCarthy being wrong.
Well–wrong as intended, anyway. The fact is he’s right too, sorta…
I don’t think anybody is questioning the legitimacy of the presidential election. I think that is all over with.Kevin McCarthy on May 12, 2021
Oh Kevin. OH, Kevin.
You’re right–most of us aren’t questioning the legitimacy of the presidential election–because we know without doubt that it was as illegitimate as could possibly be, and that Joe Biden is not the elected President of the United States.
Now in fairness to Kevin, he knows this too. He’s just as certain as the rest of us, and probably more so, that Joe is the Thief-in-Chief and not actually the elected anything. And he knows that most of us are still just as convinced of this as we were the day after the election, and many of us are even more certain of it now. Kevin knows that the majority of Americans don’t recognize Biden as anything but a usurper, and won’t respect a single utterance that comes out of his mouth or “order” that leaves his pen. When Xi Jinping issues declarations for how Americans should think or behave, I fart in his general direction. I won’t even muster the energy necessary to fart toward Biden! At least Xi is somewhat “legitimate” as the leader of a nation.
Kevin’s statement isn’t wrong, per se. What it is is a lie. He’s telling a story so that the media will leave the story behind (he hopes) and won’t further damage the establishment Republican “brand” because, in his estimation (and whatever bogus polling he’s following) continuing with the “Biden is ILLEGITIMATE” narrative is somehow hurting the party.
Except that Biden IS illegitimate, and the Republican party NEEDS to be hurt by the truth of that because they stood by and allowed it to happen. Not just figuratively, not just symbolically–they actually, literally, sat on their hands and did nothing to prevent the theft of the American presidency as well as several seats in the House and probably a Senate seat or two. They could have stood by the real President, the elected President, and the American people who voted for him–but they did what the Republican party does; they cowered, and kow-towed, and now we have the biggest clown since Ronald McDonald sitting in the White House pretending he knows what day it is. Kevin McCarthy knows this as well as anyone, but he’s lying about it because he doesn’t want to face the truth of it, and he doesn’t want that enduring truth to continue dogging the Republicans.
Now I’m inclined to say that Kevin needs to stand up and grow a pair, but he’s a politician from California and we all know that in that state political testicles are carried only by women. If McCarthy were half the man Nancy Pelosi is, we wouldn’t be talking about this because Donald Trump would be in the White House and Joe Biden (together with half the Democrat party including Pelosi) would be in jail. The fact is that McCarthy doesn’t have the courage to stand for much of anything. Neither does 99% of the rest of the party he represents, which is why we’re in this mess in the first place.
The press is playing his statement off as if he’s subtly continuing to push the story while at the same time denying it, as if it’s some kind of shrewd political move he’s making to actually keep the narrative alive. They’re either dismissing the “McCarthy’s a weenie” factor, or they’re in on the whole thing (as they usually are). Likely that they follow the same polling that he does, and they see the Republicans are reeling from the ongoing legitimacy question. They’re all simply missing the point of why the party is in trouble. It isn’t because the election-theft narrative continues, it’s because they are the reason it stands in the first place. Specifically, Kevin McCarthy is one of the main reasons. Only Mitch McConnell carries more responsibility for that tactical and moral blunder. The party is in trouble, evidenced by the fact that they’ve utterly and permanently lost dyed-in-the-wool Republicans like me. Despite four decades of dedicated Republican activism, I dropped my party affiliation the day McConnell publicly stabbed Trump in the back. In no uncertain terms and offering no apology whatsoever, my statement is that the establishment Republican party can GO FUCK ITSELF…and all the McCarthy posturing (however intentional or, more likely, weenie-fied it may be) won’t change that one iota. The party will never receive another dime of my money or millisecond of my time. That will now go only to INDIVIDUAL CANDIDATES, and only when they declare that they are anti-establishment TRUMP REPUBLICANS who, like me, would put the McConnells and McCarthys of the world in the same cell as Clueless Joe and the Heels-Up Kid. They all sold out America and turned their backs on we, the people.
Yes, Kevin, we do still maintain that Joe Biden is illegitimate, and will continue to do so to anyone who will listen until the travesty is overturned and/or the history books are corrected. And if you or anyone else thinks we (you know, the 80+ million people who elected Donald Trump for a second term) are willing to let it go, to forgive and forget…well you truly are out of touch. Read your polls–they’ll at least tell the part of the story that says your party is in deep jeopardy.
But you and your spineless brethren are the reason why, not the eternal truth of Joe Biden’s illegitimacy.
